Top 5 Reasons To Use Clay Face Masks

Benefits of clay face masks:

We are all well aware of the abundance of benefits to using facial masks on a regular basis. It is a commitment we make to ourselves in order to achieve smooth, beautiful skin.  When you apply a mask, you’re taking time to focus on the health of your complexion with a product that addresses a particular concern.

Clay is one of the most cleansing and detoxifying ingredients you can use on your skin. Rich in minerals, the benefits of clay for skin in helping to clear blemishes, draw out impurities and leave you with a brighter complexion, are unrivalled.

Why are clay masks so beneficial?

#1. They absorb all that extra oil.

Our skin naturally produces an oil called “sebum” to protect and moisturize it. In some individuals, the skin produces excess oil. The result can be acne, blackheads, whiteheads, oily skin and blemishes. A clay mask can “soak” up excess sebum and clean out any clogged pores from the resulting excess oil.

#2. They work well with all skin types.

Most skin care treatments are targeted towards specific skin care concerns such as dry, normal, or oily skin.  Clay masks treat all skin types safely and effectively without irritation. Clay masks work wonders for acne prone skin.

#3. They shrink pores.

Minimizing the appearance of pores is often a goal for many people seeking beautiful looking skin. However, having smaller pores is not just a goal for beautiful skin. Smaller pores are typically the result of healthier skin. Pores generally become enlarged when they are clogged with excess oil, bacteria and dirt.

#4. They saturate your skin.

One of the greatest benefits of clay masks is that as they remove excess oil. However, they also saturate your skin with the nutrients the body needs to keep the skin smooth. Clay masks are filled with minerals that your skin needs. As the mask sits on you face, the nutrients sink into the skin and does their due diligence to make your skin look soft, smooth and, brighter.

#5. They remove dead skin cells.

Dead skin cells make your skin look dry and rough. Everyone has dead cells on the surface of their skin. Clay masks, no matter how fine the powder is, do a tremendous job to slough away dead skin cells and make your skin look fresh and bright.
