Tame Flyaways with Hairspray and a Toothbrush:
If you are looking for a more clean and crisp look for your style, but you have a ton of little flyaway hairs sticking out everywhere, then use a toothbrush and some hairspray to tame them. You will be amazed at how polished this will make your ‘do.
Use Command Hooks to Hold Your Hair Appliances:
If you have a lot of hot hair tools that constantly get tangled up in your drawers or cabinets, then try command hooks. They’ll keep things organized and within arms reach for easy access.
Brush Your Hair Before Showering:
Drains that get clogged with loose hairs are about the worse thing. It slows down your water drainage and is simply, just annoying. To eliminate this hassle, brush your hair before taking a shower to get any loose and/or tangled hair out.
Curl Your Hair with Tin Foil and a Flat Iron:
An easy and effective way to curl your hair is to roll it up into some tin foil and heat it with a flat iron. Voila, beautiful curls!
Get Thicker Looking Hair with Eyeshadow:
We all have days when we feel like our hairlines are thinning and our hair doesn’t look as thick as we want it to. If you want your hair to look a little thicker in those areas, then use some eyeshadow that matches your colour and spread it around the visible roots. With an immense range of eyeshadow shades, finding the shade that best matches your colour will be a breeze.
Make a Salt Spray with Seltzer Water and Sea Salt:
If you are looking to add a little texture to your hair, you can create your own salt spray with 20 oz of Seltzer water and a teaspoon of Sea Salt in a spray bottle.
Bangs That Stay Put:
For full looking bangs that stay put, tease your bangs at the root and spray with a little hairspray. Then, lightly brush over the top of your bangs to smooth out any frizz.
Keeping Your Braid Tight and Tidy:
Ponytail your fishtail braid prior to braiding. This will keep the braid tighter. Once you are done braiding, snip the rubber band holding the top of your braid.
Cheap ‘Dry Shampoo’:
Instead of going through bottle after bottle of pricy dry shampoo, sprinkle a little baby powder in your roots to soak up any oil. Works the exact same way as dry shampoo does. It also gives your hair more texture and fullness.
Get Rid of Static Hair:
If you are someone who struggles with hair static, put a dryer sheet on top of your hairbrush over the bristles before brushing. It instantly tames the static.
Bobby Pins That Stick:
Spray your bobby pins with hairspray before putting them in your hair for a longer lasting hold.
Curling Your Hair:
Always point your curling iron or styling wand downward when curling your hair. It creates a more natural wave/curl that actually holds longer.
Create Effortless Beach Waves:
First, braid your hair. Then, run a flat iron along your braid. Clamp the flat iron as you go. Allow the hair to completely cool, then remove the band. Finger through the braid and spray with a little hairspray. Creates a beautiful natural wave.
