5 Of The Most Popular Makeup Primer Dupes

Makeup Primer Dupes:

I have been doing a lot of makeup dupe posts lately. Mainly because not everyone has the disposal income to splurge on high end beauty products. I want my blog to have valuable information for everyone. Plus, who doesn’t love great affordable products. Today we will be checking out some amazing makeup primer dupes!

Primer is one step I just can’t skip in my routine. I mix up the primers I use depending on the look I’m going for. Whether I am going for a blurring, matte, or dewy look. I love me some good high-end primers and have used so many of them over the years, but of course, I am always searching for a dupe!

These makeup primer dupes have been tested by yours truly. I can confidently recommend each and every one of these dupes if you are on a budget but want something similar to its high-end counterpart. Some of these primers are not 100% identical in the way that they feel right away, but do the same thing on the skin. For me, I consider that a good dupe. After all, performance is what matters at the end of the day!

Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizer $50 vs Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser $9

The Smashbox photo finish primer is definitely a cult favourite and one that everyone seems to compare other primers to. It has a silky silicone texture that fill in pores to create a smooth skin surface. There are a number of products out there that has the same texture and does the same job at a fraction of the cost. Baby Skin pore eraser is one of them. This is actually a spot on dupe. The is absolutely zero difference in these two products besides the $41 price difference.

Hourglass Veil Primer $63 vs NYX Professional Angel Veil $18

NYX Professional Angel Veil is nearly identical in terms of how it feels on the skin. It feels exactly the same on your skin as the Hourglass Veil Primer. It has a very silky texture that creates such a smooth canvas for makeup application. It isn’t as blurring as some other primers but it is still a beautiful product.

Benefit The PORE fessional Primer $42 vs Elf Poreless Primer $6

Benefit PORE fessional is a hard one to dupe. It really is just that fantastic. However, the closest one that I have found is e.l.f. poreless primer. This is a fantastic budget replica.

Makeup Forever Step 1 $45 vs Rimmel Stay Matte $9

This is a great makeup primer for oily skin as it keeps it matte throughout the day. It feels great on the skin and keeps oil at bay for hours.

Smashbox Reduce Redness $50 vs Elf Blemish Control $6

e.l.f. is spot on with their makeup primers and the blemish control is no exception. This primer not only conceals blemishes, it also reduces redness on the skins surface.
